Team selection and tactics
Formation, mentality, instructions and the substitutions during the match, from first whistle to last.
Training, tactics and matchday. The rest is the board's business.
You work with the squad you have — and it is on you to prove it is good enough.
Formation, mentality, instructions and the substitutions during the match, from first whistle to last.
Each player's focus, and the shape the squad is in come matchday.
Who is ready for the first team — and the trials, to find the ones nobody has spotted.
You name the players you want. The board chases them, and signs them if it can.
"I count on him", "you can sell him", "I want him renewed" — the board works from those.
Said before you buy, on purpose: this is what sets one mode apart from the others.
The board closes the deals. You name targets and it chases the ones it can afford.
Wages, the bank balance and the budget never reach you — the Finances screen is not even in your menu.
When an offer comes in for one of your players, the board asks your opinion and gives you three days. If you do not answer, it decides on its own.
You can see the state of the pitch and of stadium safety, but the board is the one who spends.
Your inbox is shorter, and deliberately so: only what belongs to your job gets through. The board asks you when an offer arrives for someone in the squad, tells you when it lands a signing you asked for, and comes down on you when the season goes wrong. Losing the job here means losing it on results.
For people who want the work on the training ground without the spreadsheet: pick the team, coach it, and win on matchday.
If signing players is half the fun for you, this mode will frustrate you — the board is the one who signs.
