| Competitions | Club World Cup | In two formats: the short tournament between continental champions, and the expanded one with 32 clubs. |

| Qualifying rounds | The road before the group stage in the cups — who walks straight in, and who has to qualify. | |
| State leagues (Brazil) | The regional tournament at the start of the year, before the national league begins. | |

| Squad rules | Player registration | The registered list per competition: who is eligible to play, and who was left out. |
| Shirt numbers | The number on the shirt, and what it means inside the rulebook. | |
| Foreign players | The cap on players from abroad, which every league sets its own way. | |
| Work permits | The local rules that decide whether a signing from abroad can be registered. | |

| Backroom staff | Scout | The one digging up players where you are not looking. |
| Physiotherapy | The department that treats the injury and gets the player back on the pitch. | |
| Psychologist | The squad’s head — morale, pressure, and what happens after a bad run. | |
| Fitness coaches | The ones looking after fitness, and how the team gets to the final whistle. | |
| Analysts | Reading the opponent before kick-off. | |
| Other roles | Still being looked at — the staff has more roles, and not all of them fit every club. | |
| The match | 2D match | The match drawn on the pitch, play by play, instead of commentary text alone. |
